![]() This is one of my favorite low budget airlines which I have flown many, many times. The flights from India to Malaysia seemed like an extremely good value, where I only paid around $50 USD to fly from Kuala Lumpur to Bangalore, which was around a 4hr flight! Like any ‘no frills’ airlines, expect to pay for seat assignment, checked luggage and food, but some really great deals are available during their seat sales or when booking far in advance. Even last minute fares can be very competitively priced. Air Asia has an extensive network across Asia, with the home airport of Kuala Lumpur. There are actually two terminals at KUL airport- KLIA1 used by Malaysia Airlines and other international carriers, and KLIA2 used by Air Asia. You cannot walk inbetween the terminals as they are on opposite sides of the runway, so the journey between the two is quite far... but still considered one airport. Keep this in mind if you are flying into Kuala Lumpur on Malaysia Airlines, then transferring to an Air Asia flight. Leave yourself plenty of time! There is a budget type hotel just outside KLIA2 terminal for early flights or overnight layovers. There didn’t look like anywhere to sleep at the budget airline terminal. I read there is now an express train connecting both terminals together, along with to the city of Kuala Lumpur! Keep Traveling
