Update:
The F55 service no longer goes to Satwa bus station and the F55A nightime service runs from 11pm-6am now.
You can read my updated post on the F55 bus service for 2017 here.
The bus goes from the IBN Battuta metro station or Satwa Bus station every hour to the new Dubai World Central airport (DWC). The timetable is the bus leaves every hour, on the hour (6am, 7am, 8am, 9am etc.) with the F55 service running from 6am to 10pm and F55A service starting at 10pm until 7am, so there is only a small overlap of service. The fare is 4.10 aed ($1.10 USD).

Your welcome. Hopefully this and my other F55 post saves people time. There isn't much info on the buses unless you are already there.

Thanks Andreea, that's why I posted this, as going to one of the bus stops or office was the only way to get bus schedule! I also published the updated F55 schedule here http://www.mattmanyplaces.com/travel-blog/2017-schedule-for-f55-dubai-airport-bus

Passengers cannot use cash to travel on the Dubai Metro, buses, or water buses. You need to buy a Nol card, which can easily be purchased at the metro station. That is right next to the bus stop for the airport, just leave yourself some extra time. Both Abu Dhabi and Dubai phased out cash purchases for public transportation a few years ago.
