Below is a video of the grand finale I took from our room.
We rented a top floor executive suite overlooking the Burj Al Arab for the fireworks display to have a memorable ending to our monthlong adventure in Europe which we just returned from. Gloria Hotel also provided access to the Executive lounge which had views of the Atlantis and Burj Al Arab fireworks displays, although we opted to watch in our room with friends that live nearby. It was fairly hazy outside, which was a lot different than watching the Dubai fireworks last year. If it had been that clear again we would have had unobstructed views of the Burj Khalifa (world's tallest building) firework display in the distance, but couldn't see much unless they had every floor shooting them off. Overall it was a great way to enjoy bringing in the New Year, while not having to deal with traffic or large crowds, especially with a baby. From our room we saw an open beach area between a couple of the palaces that had lots of people parked up for the show and also saw Jumeriah Beach area on TV, which was packed full of people. Either of those would have had some great views and would really feel the fireworks from there. Below is a video of the grand finale I took from our room.
