
I was a little surprised the company went with the Scoot brand instead of the more recognized TigerAir, since Tiger was started in 2003 and was one of the first budget airlines in the world. We all have to see how this affects their flight offerings and prices. Scoot started in 2012 and is owned by Singapore Airlines, so a bit of consolidation here especially for the Singapore market. Scoot's route map already includes all of the TigerAir destinations, so it's difficult to tell if the combined company flies to more countries. TigerAir flights from Asia to India were particularly good value.
