Saipan harbor on a clear day
I got to take the small motorboat I purchased out on the Saipan harbor. The weather was amazing and the water seemed to shine like the sunlight was coming from below the water. This place seems a little like the wild west when it comes to boating as none of the other boats seem to respect the right of way. Vessels are constantly criss-crossing paths so I tended to stay towards the shallows and away from any traffic. So far my experience owning my first boat has gone well and there are a lot of fishing and dives planned for the near future. I looped around the shipwreck off the reef which is only around 15 foot of water on the deep end. There is another shipwreck near Managaha island that has 3 mooring bouys and is in around 30 foot of water. That is a popular dive and is inside a protected marine area so there should be lots of sea life.
